Meeting of Minister Jolevski with ARM officers from the new rotation in the “Resolute Support” mission

Today, at the Ministry of Defence, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Jolevski, together with the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, Major General Muhamet Racaj, met with the six officers of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia from the new rotation in the “Resolute Support” mission in Afghanistan.

            At today’s meeting Minister Jolevski wished them to successfully carry out the tasks assigned to them, to represent the Republic of Macedonia with dignity and to return home safe and sound.

He added that the Republic of Macedonia will continue with its participation in this peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan and that opportunities are being considered to participate in missions supported by the United Nations, which clearly demonstrates our commitment to global peace and security. Additionally, Minister Jolevski said that the experience that they will gain in this peacekeeping mission is very important, both for them and for the other members of the ARM who will be able to receive a transfer of experience for participation in international peacekeeping missions.

On this occasion Deputy Chief Racaj stressed that it is a qualified composition, with excellent psychophysical readiness to fulfill tasks.

This composition of ARM members that is participating in the “Resolute Support”  mission commands in Afghanistan, will be within the German contingent in the Train Advise Assist Command – North.
