New Year’s concert of the military bands of Macedonia, Bulgaria and Montenegro

The Military Band of the ARM, together with members of the Guard Orchestra of the Bulgarian Army and the Military Band of the Army of Montenegro performed a New Year’s concert yesterday in the Army Home in Skopje, in honour of the members of the three armies, and in the spirit of mutual cooperation.

The trilateral New Year’s concert, which was attended by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, the President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, the rest of the military and political leadership, the ARM members and other guests, was addressed by the Minister of Defence, Radmila Shekerinska, who said that this 2018 was a difficult, but important and successful year where, after almost three decades of working towards full-fledged NATO membership, this dream has gained a new life – Macedonia has received the invitation for membership and has already completed the accession talks. Shekerinska added that we are expecting 2019 with a lot of optimism and that Macedonia has opened and is now stronger, with mutual friendships.

The joint orchestra, led by the conductors of the three military bands, and the guests, Beni Saqiri, and Kristina Arnaudova, performed a night concert at the auditorium of the filled-up hall in the Army Home, where the anthems of the three countries and other famous musical works were performed.
